I will review Stuck in the Shallow End: education, race and computing by Jane Margolis.
The book focuses on the technology curriculum of three high schools in the Los Angeles metro area. Margolis is a Harvard PhD,who is currently at UCLA's School of Education and Information Science department. A chapter from this book was included in our previous readings. I was intrigued by the the author's treatment of technology education and students of color and decided to delved deeper into these issues.
