Siftables

Some interesting new "toys", has possible educational/story telling/entertainment possibilities as well as demonstrating new way for humans to physically interact with computers.



Beware, TED talks will suck you in and steal hours of your time.

At first I thought this was really cool, but then I starting thinking about it and thought, what's wrong with mixing paint on paper? or writing and drawing a story on paper with your own characters? or making music on real instruments? or adding tallies for addition problems instead of having the answers magically appear?

    I guess there is potential in these technologies, and that's what he was getting at, but sometimes I'm not convinced that technology is that much better than doing things "the old fashioned way."

  2. Agreed, what I find most interesting about this potential product is the physical interaction with it, sort of like the wii. Why not just actually just GO golfing or play tennis? Well. ;) Yeah.
